MO GOP Legislation has passed a bill to end sleeping on State Property
Missouri Legislation has passed a bill that was to make it a crime for homeless to sleep on state property. But, to their ignorance, made it a crime to sleep in state parks and state prisons, because the letter of the law is the letter of the law!
So, with the state prisons, prisoners can not sleep in their cells, must be a wake 24/7. Kinda cruel I do believe... State parks, there goes my camping trip! https://share.newsbreak.com/163fonui

7. This was what I exactly was thinking of when I heard this, what about state parks and such?
Only idiots in our MO legislature...unfortunately.
Didn't one of these morons even think about the negative pitfalls that could occur as a result of this bill? I suspect that they see the homelessness in Oregon, Washington, etc., and are trying to address the issue but they are still not providing adequate shelters or jobs or whatever these people need, rehab, etc., or just hard out on their luck, in order to bring these unfortunate numbers down. Threatening them w/ a crime because they can't afford a place or worse and must sleep in their cars, and I guess what's going to happen now is these people will flood into nearby neighborhoods, and sleep in their cars there? Or worse... |

10. Um, quite a few people do have cars. I wasn't keeping track of the counts on who owns a car or not.
Obviously you are.

8. Any state that can elect Josh Hawley ...
… can’t be that smart. Self destructive? Yes. But smart? Not even close. (Having said that, my alma mater, Washington University, is in that state, so there are exceptions of course.)
