On May 16 the 7 day average for new cases was 2739 per the NY Times. On May 27 the number was 1264.
There have been significant drops in the other Northeast states but not as large as in CT.

(799 posts)With home test kits being so prevalent, and no guarantees of reporting positive cases, many think the actual number of cases is way up...
I am an example; tested Tuesday, positive, but there is no requirement to self report. of course, I'm still quarantined.....

(7,485 posts)This drop came in just nine days. I don't think home kits explain the drop in numbers.

CT still reports test positivity rates, but doesn't factor in home tests that go unreported.

I wonder why the huge discrepancy between the cdc and the nyt.

1. how many do not an updated booster
2. airline and restaurant protocols
3. future variants
Statistics might be portrayed as 3-4-5 D instead of 2-D.
