Waking up this morning and watching the news it is clear to me:
Beginning right now, Dems need to forget about Trump and run full throttle against ALL REPUBLICANS. They are the problem. They are the backers of vulture capitalism and gouging industry. They are the people who support monopolizing agriculture and the gouging food industry. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie know what to say and where the bodies lie but the Dems are being stifled by the Trump-loving media moguls. F them. As soon as the Congress critters go home they should begin holding massive town hall meetings to educate their constituents about how our government works and what the Republicans are doing to destroy our nation. Yes! It can all be linked to Trump, his supporters who worked for him and Republicans who are still carrying his water. The J6 hearings are an opportunity to get them to pay attention and see the dangers more clearly.

Vote. Every. Republican. Out. Of. Office.
None of them deserves re-election. All of them are guilty of subverting democracy. #RepublicansAreTheProblem #VoteEveryRepublicanOut |

3. Not what Matthew Dowd suggested yesterday,
Dowd suggested that Democrats run on Big issues. Dowd said that Democrats need to run on being the party of democracy, the party for the Constitution, the party for workers rights, the party to preserve and protect Medicare and Social security, the party for freedom which Republicans are taking away.
This isn't really counter to your thread, it is positive other side. |

in one statement or ad. Vote Democratic to preserve Social Security, workers' rights, women's rights, honest elections, and affordable healthcare because Republicans will take them away.

4. Want to win big? Every single republican voted against trying to stop price gouging on gas.
Run ads and cover the social media with this simple message, every single republican voted against
trying to stop the oil companies from price gouging. Rinse, lather, and repeat. It is obvious that big oil and Saudi Arabia are trying to fuck Joe Biden with high gas prices we need to stick the GOP's vote up their asses. House passes bill to crack down on alleged gas price gouging The House of Representatives passed a bill along party lines Thursday that seeks to lower gas prices by cracking down on alleged price gouging by energy companies. The House vote was 217-207: no Republican supported the bill, suggesting it's likely headed for failure in the Senate. The Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act would grant the president authority to issue emergency energy proclamations and make it illegal to increase gas and energy prices in excessive and exploitative ways. It would also expand the Federal Trade Commission's power to investigate and address possible price gouging by oil and gas companies. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-gas-price-gouging-bill/ snip "I'm a proud capitalist, and what we're experiencing with fuel prices is the result of a broken market," (Katie) Porter said in a statement. "Big Oil executives are bragging to shareholders about price gouging families at the pump. They're purposely keeping supply low to earn record-high profits, squeezing families — and our entire economy— in the process." KISS Keep it simple stupid. |

And a whole ad campaign in every state by the DNC. The reason gas prices are so high is PRICE GOUGING BY PROFITEERS SUPPORTED BY THE GOP.

28. You can only price gauge for extended periods of time if you control the market
If the market is left to itself, and there is no collusion, there would be one guy who would undercut the price; then another, then another. But with such a small group competing, they own the market. It's called a regional monopoly, they distribute the market and the customers among themselves. Frequently they don't compete for customers they acquire them.
So basically the handful of gas and oil corporations have no competition. They set the price and go as high as they want because there is no one to offer cheaper prices. The only thing that can control regional monopolies is a government but thanks to the GOP they don't. So there really isn't any free market. It's All controlled and captured markets. |

13. Yes, as important and gratifying as these J6 hearings are....
we have a dangerous future ahead of us, and we are going to need to quickly move on.
Trump is over. My guess is that the GOP will try to distance themselves from him, while still going for the MAGA vote. The Republican Party is now our mortal enemy. The GOP is making some huge mistakes. They are blithely ignoring the fact that the majority of Americans want abortion to remain legal, and serious gun control laws to be passed. How dumb is that? The so called Cultural Wars are a ridiculous attempt to turn back the hands of time: Women are not going to accept being reduced to baby making machines, LGBTQ people are not going back to hiding in shame, denying our racist history will not make it go away, and white men are not going to be reinstated as everyone's boss. This war has already been lost, regardless of how many draconian laws are passed. I don't have any brilliant suggestions , but declaring full on war against gerrymandering, voter suppression, and election corruption seems a good place to start. |

15. Democrats need to work on their messaging
Majorities of the population strongly support Democratic goals, but Dems are terrible at articulating their platform.
Republikkkans can sum up their goals in three-second soundbytes, while Democrats answered in rambling paragraphs with cross-references and footnotes and half a dozen disclaimers. As long as this remains the case, Repugs will continue to dominate media discourse and to steer the conversation. |

Too many folks don't understand the power of effective messaging.
I constantly see folks on the Right who believe things that are the opposite of reality. Why? Because right-wing GOP messaging has told them to believe it. To counter that, we really have our work cut out for us. |

147 Republicans (I like to call 'em "republics", to mirror image the derogatory slur they use: "the democrat party". I remember the great Keith Olbermann admonishing GWB for using the slur, "and its DEM-O-CRATIC. SHOW SOME RESPECT."
![]() opps, interrupting myself... 147 republics voted AGAINST CERTIFYING THE 2020 ELECTION. In my opinion, the 2020 election was the most squeaky clean legitimate election of the last 23 years. (Bush v. Gore taught republics that craven partisan corruption beats Democracy at the SC and basing legal decisions on an obscure catholic religious cult is better than using our obsolete and quaint RULE OF LAW to make legal rulings.) These 147 republics are traitors that have committed treason against all 330 million of us. So, yeah, let them all continue to serve WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES. Geeeez Louise, these republics could get away with shooting someone in broad daylight in NYC and get away with it! -90% Jimmy |

21. The issue with so called "media"
Is going to have to be addressed at some point because we cannot survive if it continues as it is. We never used to worry about “alternative facts” aka lies being reports as legit news because no one was ever allowed to do so. If a news person got something wrong they were immediately called on it and it was corrected. Now a days these operators like Newsmax just makes 💩 up out of the clear blue sky most of the time and report it as fact.
Bringing back the “Fairness Doctrine” won’t fix where we are now. There is going to have to be new legislation addressing the reporting of facts and reality. |
