3. Details are so scarce - I do wonder what's up.

This is good stuff. But the fact that ABC News, even on its news site where there's an article, has such scant info, says that something good may be in the works here, and this search warrant is only the beginning. I love that a bunch of fake electors were also just gifted with subpeonas.

5. How can this be happening when so many here are saying Garland is doing nothing?

Hmmmm...

11. The people who were saying a year ago that Garland was doing nothing were correct,

the wait and see crowd told us that we don't know whether or not DOJ was investigating Trump's inner circle because DOJ doesn't leak.

Look what happened, the FBI raided Clarke's home and DOJ didn't leak but within 1 day we found out from 4 or 5 sources, that my friend is proof that DOJ is just now getting to the inner circle party.

Chris Wallace, a former Fox anchor, keeps asking, what took so long. Listen to him, he's on CNN.

17. Except that search warrants, once executed, are public records

Whereas Grand Jury subpoenas are not.

18. Interesting. So, what is your explanation

for the posters who said that DOJ not only was doing nothing, but never would do anything?

But it is remarkable how much you "know" without solid evidence.

Back in April of 2021.

And the trial of Tom Barrack that is going on.

So weird

16. I am one who feared the DOJ was doing nothing about anyone but the foot soldiers.

And this search of a key player in the insurrection 18 months after the event shows that the DOJ was doing nothing about the higher ups. It’a unlikely that the FBI will find much because these people knew as soon as the Jan. 6 Committee started functioning that they would be incriminated by witnesses. You don’t wait to investigate a bank robbery a year later and hope there will be evidence left.

19. You don't know what you're talking about

Lack of public information is not evidence of DOJ inaction.

Search warrants, once executed, become public records.

Grand Jury subpeonas are not public records.

Matthew Graves, US Attorney for DC who is overseeing much of the January 6 investigation, was just confirmed and sworn in last November. Before that, his position was held by a Trump appointee.

Also, much of the physical evidence of Trumps crimes wasn’t accessible until after the SCOTUS ruling on Trumps privilege claims in January.

20. You still have no proof that DOJ has not been investigating

higher ups. You have an opinion, which you are entilted to. You have speculation, based on limited information. But no proof.

25. Because, Zonker, justice delayed IS justice denied. And it's not for nothing it's delayed.

It is delayed because it takes time for the PTB to decide which pose is most appealing. After all, it wouldn't do to miss an opportunity to screw with the markets or the inflations or the gasolines just a bit longer. One might appreciate a few extra profits to throw on the fire for those cold winter nights. And so, begins the scheduling of important juries, both grand and common, the hearings and the trials, the tedious disappearing of crucial evidence, both pro and con, that just never really existed anyway, the deals made between felons and their prosecutors. You know them, they're called bargains and, today and today only, they're especially bargain priced since they'll ALL happen after the midterms. A few more months for the media to redraw reality. To misdirect the attention (about issues the DOJ was too preoccupied and too leakproof and hush-hush to collect) brought to heel by the select committee. To slip in a few more questions reasonable folks might ask about how their lying eyes were so imprecise on Jan. 6.....and what year was that anyway?

The fix is on.

35. Compared to how DOJ would act if J6rs were all Muslim?! Yeah, still not doing much but lets go ...

... and act like J6rs and republicans being mostly white males have nothing to do with nothing.

The second he said he would plead the 5th to questions from the 06 Jan. Committee his office, his home, his phone should have been secured.

7. Clark will crack

Clark's gonna flip like a pancake.

Everything I've learned about his involvement in the attempted coup indicates he's a very average lawyer (at best) who jumped into something with visions of grandeur and has found the waters WAY deeper than he can handle. A guy who thought this move was his path out of mediocrity and into greatness - "I'm going to be the AG of the United States instead of a middling environmental lawyer!"

I think a lot of these nutcases - Eastman, Ghouliani, etc. - seriously thought they were going to pull this off, assume positions of great power within the new american political structure, and be written into history along side Jefferson, Madison, etc. as "heroes" who saved america from itself.

14. Here is the time frame for Clarke to crack,

DOJ is just investigating; I am told it takes time to get ducks in a row; once the ducks are in a row then an indictment before a grand jury. Then a hearing to schedule a trial. The trial takes place, after a verdict, and appeal can be made. If the appeal is shot down a hearing must be held to schedule sentencing. Clarke can wait until the very last minute before he flips which would be late 2024 -2025.

Clarke could crack sooner if he doesn't have the money to go through the trials and appeals, but then again we have domestic oligarchs who will pony up money.

29. Trump is a dumbass if he doesn't pay Clark's legal fees.

Along with Eastman’s fees.

This way he can ensure that the legal actions continue (as long as the lawyers get paid) until there is not a legal argument left to turn.

By doing this, he might be able to avoid them “flipping” on him, until just before his last breath.

9. Here's the article

https://abcnews.go.com/US/feds-search-home-doj-official-tied-trumps-efforts/story?id=85589624

Federal agents searched the Virginia home of former Trump Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark on Wednesday morning, according to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the activity.

It was unclear which federal agencies conducted the search, but one neighbor who witnessed the law enforcement activity said they saw officials entering and exiting the Lorton, Virginia, home after arriving there early Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C., said they "can confirm there was law enforcement activity in that area yesterday," but declined to comment on specific individuals or the nature of that activity.

A lawyer for Clark did not respond to a request for comment...

There's only one more paragraph in the article. Short on details so far.

26. People are downplaying this

but it wasn't the FBI who did the search. I am hard on Merrick Garland but I never doubted his honestly and loyalty. I have had questions about Christopher Wray. People keep saying there are Trump people in DOJ, I wonder why the FBI was left out of this search warrant? Probably nothing, but I wonder if this practice will continue in the future?
