Which is why we have to get over our reticence about repeating ourselves. Folks forget if they aren't reminded, which is why Republicans go on and on and on (and on!) about stuff that doesn't matter and is long gone. They're stoking their base's "outrage." We get talking to our people about something like Justice Breyer's retirement, and we get a blank stare or a baffling out-of-the-blue suggestion about going for ice cream.

If they don't even know that he already has a replacement, can we really trust that they're paying attention to the January 6th hearings?
