Evangelical leaders back Santorum ...A group of 150 influential Christian conservative leaders

A group of 150 influential Christian conservative leaders on Saturday backed former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum as their choice for Republican U.S. presidential nominee.

The conservatives agreed to support Santorum on the third ballot in a meeting at a ranch outside Houston.

"What I did not think was possible appears to be possible," said Tony Perkins, leader of the Family Research Council and spokesman for the group.

The group had not been expected to reach agreement on one candidate since evangelical support was divided between Santorum, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov.

Rick Perry.

Santorum, a life-long Catholic, possible member of Opus Dei, and disciple of the anti-Christ in Rome,
versus Gingrich, a "flip-flopper" convert to Catholicism and possible penitent for sins of the flesh,
versus Perry, whose only black mark seems to be incompetence.

I'm surprised they didn't go for Gingrich on the grounds that he may be a modern day St Augustine.

Or for Perry with the proviso that he take prayer study with Tim Tebow.

When do the rest of us Christians rise up and say these fools don't represent us?

All that money spent on Prop 8 in California, just so they can play with the Evangelicals. It looks like the LDS got the Santorum.
