But since June, Ive observed a shift. Ive conducted nine focus groups during this period, and found that only 14 percent of Trump 2020 voters wanted him to run in 2024, with a few others on the fence. In four of the groups, zero people wanted Trump to run again. Their reasoning is clear: Theyre now uncertain that Trump can win again.

(18,970 posts)That was the low point for Trump, even his supporters wanted him gone at that point. It then became a week after week and month after month effort to diminish the severity of 1/6. If there had been elections on January 20th of 2020, Democrats would have swept them, the country was absolutely disgusted with Republicans.
The hearings are going to continue through the Fall, they're important, not just for justice, but to remind the country of what is on the ballot in November. Our Democracy is at stake. Trump declaring for 2024 before the elections plays right into Dems hands.
