acknowledging that there are laws, rules and norms, and the whole thing falls apart if too many people fail to act on those laws, rules and norms in good faith. We can argue with an opposition party about things like marginal tax rates and social programs and all that stuff and its fine as long as we all accept what the rules are and proceed accordingly. I respect her for sacrificing her seat in Congress for following that fundamental principle.
