In Oct 2021, CIA Counterintelligence sent a top secret cable warning an unusually number of confidential informants were being killed, captured, or compromised.

In Jan 2021, Trump stole documents on these kind of informants.

Of 184 documents marked classified, 25 were at the top secret level, the affidavit says. 2. I think these revelations and the timeline makes it pretty clear that Trump wasn't taking

memento's or love letters from dictators.

This is getting deadly serious for Trump. The question I wonder....did Trump sell secrets for profit or was the kompromat compelling him to continue selling out US intelligence assets?

Btw, this stuff always reminds me of massive dumps of stolen intelligence documents by people who were called heroes by some for doing it. Every time I saw one of those discussions, I wondered how many people had been killed, with family and others, or "disappeared" into hell-on-earth political prisons.

8. To be clear, the CIA cable referred to a trend over several years

The tweet hints at a extraordinary losses in the months following Trump's departure, but that's not really supported by the reporting. From the 2021 NYT piece:

The message, in an unusual top secret cable, said that the C.I.A.’s counterintelligence mission center had looked at dozens of cases in the last several years involving foreign informants who had been killed, arrested or most likely compromised.

So this is not reporting on a spike after Trump left office, but a trend going back over the entire course of his presidency and possibly even the late Obama years as well. Not really evidence that Trump sold out anyone after January 2021, though arguably evidence that his administration had put people at elevated risk while he was president.
