31. My career was in newspapers. Nowadays with the severe...
contraction of print journalism (papers and magazines closing all over the country, sadly and ironically because of what we're doing right now, getting news online), that option is kind of hit and miss. You kind of have to be in a big city that has enough advertisers to support good print journalism.
It's a grave time for print and I see little chance for a rebound. I worked for Newsday in New York and I remember back in the '90s with the advent of the internet when the newspaper industry struggled to try to monetize the content it produces for an online revenue stream. It failed miserably for the most part, coming up with easily circumvented paywalls and few if any deals made for it's valuable content. |

43. Because we need a first-rate group of talent at MSNBC.
Particularly now, when CNN shows intentions of becoming Fox News Lite, and Rachel has cut herself back to one night a week, and election season is upon us, and a criminally insane ex-president is furnishing us with dangerous history every single day. Andrea Mitchell is a liability we cannot afford, anymore. Once she's gone, we can turn our attentions to Chuck Todd.

36. Wait a sec. You cited sexism but now you're on about age. Which is it?
I'm old, too. I see how she is losing her capacity to keep a line of thought at the fore as she goes on about a story. Sorry, that is a mental decline due to age. Many of us geezers suffer the same. Its okay in general, but not okay when her job is to cogently and intelligently tell us news.
To you personally. You seem angry about this. Wanna tell us why? |

41. It it sexist because it criticizes a woman's age
who is four years younger than the President they insist isn't too old. Older women are meant to hide from public view because they offend male sensibilities. I haven't once seen a male broadcaster criticized here due to age.
I remember when we were told Hillary Clinton was too old to be president, all while Bernie Sanders wasn't. Clinton is 6 years younger than Bernie. |

I don't care what caused it, if it is ageing, so be it, but the stance stands as valid for me. She is a rambling, incoherent wreck as well as being RW in her bias.
