and for the same reasons - the future of the Republic is in grave danger.

For those who yearn for that 'I welcome their hate' vibe, you got it. And then some.

I was moved to tears, then filled with hope. This man may really save the soul of this nation.

that we saw the danger. America was not sleepwalking into dictatorship.

And we shall be judged on how we kept the faith.

No humor. Deadly serious. A clear and present danger.

Who would have thought a comparable danger would come from within?

President Biden said the right things last night. He took the fight to the enemy fearlessly and directly. He targeted the MAGA Republicans and bombarded them with their own hypocrisies.

The protesters outside his speech who were yelling, "Fuck Joe Biden," as President Biden pointed out, were exercising their right of free speech. He also dismissively said the obvious, that those folks never learned any manners.

Violence, however, is unacceptable. Yet the only people threatening violence are MAGA Republicans. This easily identifies who are the un-American terrorists. Make no mistake, the purpose of their threats is to strike fear into law-abiding Americans. That is the textbook definition of terrorism.

President Biden is smart to build a coalition of Americans from Democrats to Independents to real Republicans to fight against the insurrectionists. If we collectively focus on this existential threat, we can defeat the terrorists. The alternative is unacceptable.
