There were lots of stories about both of them. Also stories about when MacArthur was sacked.

turned against him when he sacked MacArthur. She didn't realize what an arrogant ass MacArthur could be. After reading McCullough's bio of Truman I liked Truman even more. In so many ways, Truman was the most "American" president we ever had.
