Weird how they are saying the same things. I guess Harwood refused.
Strange that they are focused on the Marines being there when EVERY President gives speeches with Marines.

(82,849 posts)They can't argue against the substance of his address. President Biden was factual and forthright (unlike so many of the speeches his predecessor gave, speeches every major media outlet carried live, for some reason). President Biden recounted the accomplishments under his administration, but he didn't claim personal credit for any of it. He mentioned these accomplishments as the product of concerted efforts by a wide range of people. He called on the country to honor its heritage and its history, to live up to the ideals it holds so dearly.
So, with nothing else to complain about, CNN makes up some bogus new rule against an honor guard of Marines accompanying the President in a public appearance. When he goes high, they go subterranean.
