We just saw Weird Al 2 nights ago with no real checks or precautions required and a week from tonight our 2 or 3 times canceled because of Covid Pink Glasses with Randy Rainbow show will finally happen. That venue requires temp checks and vaccine checks and asks you to wear a mask if you pass those tests. I really do not want to be exposed after this long since our second booster.

Thanks for letting us all know they are out now.

My local CVS store is still showing the Moderna vaccine with patient info from June 2022. It seems awfully quick that the vaccine is available since it was only approved this week.

I called the CVS that I scheduled mine at and got lost in voicemail hell. I couldn't speak to a human to verify what booster they have.

I'm scheduled now for the middle of September. It's clearly for the new booster.

The CVS one I scheduled for next week is for the old booster, as far as I can tell. I will cancel that.

the website is incorrect. Although it states that you can make your appointment for the updated booster now, it seemed odd to me that it was giving me available times slots as early as this evening (when the earliest available at Walgreens is the 7th), so I called the CVS pharmacist directly, and she told me they just got word that they are no longer able to administer the old boosters and they haven't gotten the new ones yet. So... I guess CVS jumped the gun on their site.

So now I'm scheduled with Walgreens for 9:45 am on the 7th.

if drug stores are only doing the "new boosters"? I don't want to make an appointment only to find out that they are using up the stock of "old" boosters first.

Eligibility: Individuals aged 12 years and older who completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series or received a booster dose at least 2 months ago can now receive an updated COVID-19 booster dose. Individuals aged 12 through 17 years are eligible to receive Pfizer’s updated COVID-19 booster dose, and individuals aged 18 and older are eligible to receive Pfizer’s or Moderna’s updated COVID-19 booster dose.

It doesn't say anything about the max number of boosters you can have; just that your last one was more than 2 months ago.

Off to Walgreens/CVS next week.

I am 75, still work, fly often, have social interaction regularly with many groups … and all for past year plus.
But I take all shots and boosters and mask and hand wash as much as possible. So far so good.

So heigh Ho heigh Ho … another booster to go!

Walgreens is clearly for the new booster, but I don't CVS would have them now. Even the Covid head Dr. Jha said they wouldn't be available until after Labor Day.

we've been double vaxed and double boosted,,,,
we're old but not 'immunocompromised' so according to the CDC we are not eligible yet.

We do need flu shots though,,,, but we're moving,,,, so this month after the move.

When I filled out the questionnaire for the appointment I checked not immunocompromised, but I also gave them my birth date so they know I'm old - and they gave me an appointment. I don't think you have to be immunocompromised to get one.

if you are at least 12 (Pfizer) or at least 18 (Moderna) and you have had the primary series and at least one booster. You don't even have to be old. https://www.statnews.com/2022/09/01/your-questions-on-the-new-covid-vaccine-boosters-answered/

The Pfizer-BioNTech booster was authorized for people 12 years of age and older. The Moderna booster was authorized for people 18 and older.

People who are fully vaccinated against Covid — those who’ve had a primary series — and people who’ve had a primary series plus one or two previous boosters are eligible to get one of these new shots.
