I don't think trump should face trial

I think he should be hauled off secretly in the middle of the night and put in Gitmo. He should never be allowed to speak to anyone but the prison guards for the rest of his miserable life.
He is a threat to our country by the knowledge he possesses and none of us are safe when he is allowed to roam free and use our secrets against us.
There is short term precedent for this.

He may not deserve due process, but it's in all our best interest for him to get indicted and have a fair trial. If you want to send him to Gitmo after a conviction, fine. I have all sort of other ideas for a sentence, as well. But, this renditioning stuff...nope, nope, nope. We didn't like it when the Bush administration was doing it to Iraqis, so please stop suggesting we do it to our own citizens, even one as abominable and loathsome as Donald Trump. It's a slippery slope we don't want to go down. It also martyrs him in the eyes of his cult. Why give him another opportunity to play the victim?

As for the threat he poses now, I guarantee you he's being watched like a hawk, as are his wife, kids, lawyers, and other toadies. And, they know it. He may be "walking free," but he's constantly having to look over his shoulder, and that ain't exactly "free." If he's stupid enough to keep criming, which I believe he is, then fine. It's just more charges to add to his docket.
