They will not pull over FOX or worse RW cable channel viewers. They've been too conditioned to hate CNN. Moderates and progressives will abandon CNN with naueseating pandering to the RW viewpoint. I'm sure they've gamed it out that they'll take a short-term hit on viewership and advertisers that they can rebuild---but it won't turn out that way. So, they'll loose respect, integrity and viewers all to chase and support the wild, outrageous and treasonous RW shock value that keeps people talking.

Just this armchair CEO's take on things.

7. Every few years, the BOD decides to put in a new CEO

who tries to turn them into Pox-lite, thinking that will siphon off Pox's enormous audience. It never does, idiots who watch Pox won't watch anything else. CNN loses viewers who want fact checked news instead of opinions from blow dried bobbleheads who clearly don't have a clue about much of anything. As soon as advertisers realize what's going on and flee, the CEO is replaced by someone who has to clean up his mess and restore their reputation as news, not propaganda.

Then the cycle begins anew.

It really sucks to see them going down the drain again. I hope it's a quicker return trip this time.

See you back when you find out that people prefer hearing the truth, not both-siderism.

I remember well when people either ignored or sneered at CNN, compared to the new ops of the big 3. Who are these guys and who the hell wants to watch news 24/7 anyway? How will they fill the hours when there's just not that much going on? Infotainment that flirts with and sometimes devolves completely into propaganda (Fucks News). That's how. Like Social Media, a useful innovation with a really nasty dark side. As much a scourge to political discourse in this country in the last 30 years as hate radio.

I rarely watch cable news, but I sometimes watch Anderson Cooper, Don Lemon, or the morning shows.

Despite what I've been reading here, I've not seen any appreciable change.

And some others.

I really like the fellow who does special interviews, Donie something, the Irish guy. He totally tears tfg supporters to shreds, without them ever being aware of it.

I'll be disappointed if he disappears.

Don't watch, but why don't you take a minute to tell them why you won't watch?

They're not here to see you complain.

When enough people complain, companies do pay attention.

Complaining like this is a fart in the wind.

I honestly don't get why people are so happy to complain and complain and complain, and when someone suggests they contact the entity they're complaining about to actually tell THEM why they're unhappy, they ALWAYS come back with "uh, it won't do any good." Well, complaining here surely doesn't get anything accomplished.

Try it. You'll at least feel better.

I always keep in mind that the company I'm complaining to might not give a shit. But sometimes they do. Sometimes they write back. And sometimes they do something to fix the problem. Like your mama always said, you don't know until you try.
