Did the Judge make her ruling in an attempt to lure the DOJ into appealing her decision?

By adding the "executive privilege" to her decision?

Because that is what Trump and the Republicans truly want?

Get it into the court system and delay as long as possible?

If that is the case, then the DOJ may opt to go the "Special Master" route. The time required to go thru the entire appeal process could take much longer.

However, there are still the "missing" documents. That search has been temporarily halted.

Since the stolen documents case against Trump looks so cut and dried, I do not see how a "Special Master" can help him?

Is John Durham busy?

He is looking into the investigation of Russia's involvement in the 2016 election, not Russia's involvement, our investigation into it.

She is another fn imperial presidency acolyte. Thinks Pres should get to do whatever they want.

She has now set this on its path to the Alito court to expand a former President's executive privilege.

Absconding with classified documents will be legal, oh in a year or two. In the mean time the SM is going to delay everything. Won't file a report because of the pending executive privilege issue.

His lawyers always make unreasonable, extreme demands that have to be appealed, litigated and eat up time.
Trump constantly throws so much crap into the system it can never get back on track and so the trial and a resolution is delayed indefinitely.

That's what he does, over and over, ad infinitum.
In time, the urgency of the case fades away as other criminal actions become more immediate.

And of course he plans to run for president and depends on his MAGA state election boards do every illegal thing they can think of, at risk to themselves, to ensure he wins. No other Republican candidate could inspire this kind of dangerous dedication but Trump will.

If the election is thrown to Trump's Supreme Court you know what their decision will be.
I believe Trump will soundly lose the election in reality, but could still be crowned king.

I hope the overall DOJ case against Trump moves forward at record speed because it is probably the only thing that has a chance at success and even that is not a given. If Trump is not convicted before November 2024 the US could fall to his dictatorship and then revenge will be swift and decisive.

We are still in deep and dangerous waters.
The celebration of Trump's downfall is premature.
Don't ever count Trump out until he is actually out because our legal system is not designed to take this kind of abuse.

There are several alleged crimes, including incitement to insurrection, Obstruction of an official government proceeding, seditious conspiracy, and election fraud.

If they get an indictment on either of those charges, the espionage case is still on the back burner.
