Interesting question but most of the responses were attacking Obama or defending Obama, as if all our problems began with Obama.
They showed one statistic where auto workers in Germany were making $66 dollars an hour with healthcare and benefits where newly hired auto workers in America were making $14 per hour with limited benefits. Is America in decline? The answer appears to be "Yes".
If so, when and where did it begin? In my opinion, it began with the trade treaties that encouraged jobs to leave this country for the low wages overseas and giving tax breaks to further the process. At first, it was NAFTA. Jobs left America for Mexico and the cheap wages along the border. However, that was only a temporary move. It wasn't too long before they left Mexico for cheaper wages in Vietnam and Indonesia and other countries, when they passed more trade treaties and the creation of the WTO.
Is America in decline? What do you think?

A caller called in to C-SPAN to ask Judd Gregg 2 questions about Mitt Romney.
Listen to the 2nd question that he asks Gregg.

(24,392 posts)is/was unrealistic IMHO. He came to the office with the belief that the Republicans and most people shared the same goal. He was wrong. Also, just b/c he hasn't changed everything fast enough doesnt mean things have stayed the same. Imagine how much "fun" we'd be having with President McSame and VP from Wasilla? We'll definitely get some real change from a President Republican next year- and it won't be pretty.
