A tiny ray of hope wrt the Cannon blast. (from a WaPo opinion piece)

If I were DOJ, I'd sieze this opportunity to comb through all of those *other* files, to find one--just one!!--that completely nails tfg and indict and arrest the mofo pronto!

This isn’t as bad as it could have been. Fortunately, Cannon’s order covers only the documents that were seized by the FBI on Aug. 8, which included 15 sets of classified documents. It doesn’t involve the 15 boxes of records that Trump delivered in January, which included 184 classified documents, 25 marked top secret. And it doesn’t reach the documents turned over to the FBI on June 3 in response to a subpoena, which included 38 classified documents, 17 marked top secret.

So the criminal counterintelligence investigation into how and why Trump retained those documents — and whether they might have been obtained by a third party — can continue, as I read the order. The stop-work order applies only to the more than 100 additional classified documents that Trump retained even after his representatives said they had delivered everything.

charging him with espionage over the documents that are missing, that no doubt they have a lot of info as to what those empty folders contained and who might have them. Fixed it…a special master can’t look at documents that aren’t there.

Didn’t bookmark it, but if I find it I will sure post it.
