3 GOP proposals to help working families (Are they serious?)

https://www.businessinsider.com/gop-family-proposals-child-benefits-midterm-backlash-roe-overturned-2022-9

The gist is, their churchy hubris may come back to bite them in the ass in November, so these are their economic proposals for the working class:

1."Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah unveiled a rebooted proposal in June to provide most parents with up to $350 per kid in monthly checks, totaling $4,200 annually for younger children. A larger share of the cash benefit would flow to working parents while shrinking payments to those who aren't employed."

2. "Sen. Steve Daines of Montana is leading a measure that would allow pregnant mothers to claim the child tax credit, issuing up to $2,000 provided they have taxable income."

And the most egregious:

3. "Shortly after Roe was overturned, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida put forward a "pro-life" framework that included a paid leave initiative. It would provide parents with at least three months of paid leave, financed with cuts to their future Social Security benefits."

No sirree, can't ever "give anything away!" There's always a catch with these bastards.

3. That last one is like Trump's deferred tax "cut" before Christmas a couple years ago...

... that was then balanced out with an income tax "bump" to your paycheck right after New Year's.... with that deferred tax coming out of your paycheck in a different tax year, under what would be his successor's administration. Quite literally "passing the buck."

4. These people have no idea what the teachings of Jesus are. Or they know and don't care.

I so wish some journalists would start questioning them on their religious beliefs and how they effect their policies. Because it would become very obvious that they don't believe in the teachings of the God that they profess saved their souls.
