First of all if you didnt do yourself a favor and try to find it online. Basically went back to the 2016 campaign and counted down to January 6th, showing how Trump continually broke norms, got worse and the GOP stood by and watched on until it was too late.
What was scary to me is that I always thought the GOP talked a big game about the Big Lie but wouldnt actually overturn the election when it came time. But it seems had the Dems not been in power they might have. Also what I had always assumed, that they all fell back in line because trump threatened the party chair that he was creating his own 3rd party. They chose having a chance at power over country. Otherwise the GOP wouldve become a long term minority party so they held their nose and went back to him. If thats really the case theres nothing short of him behind bars or in the ground that will cause them to stand up to him.

(32,078 posts)I did not enjoy having to re-live all that shit, but glad I watched. It should be required viewing for every American adult, but the ones who need to see it most would just pooh-pooh the whole thing as "fake news."

(6,272 posts)but oh my goodness, was it ever hard to have to watch and listen to T so much!!!!!!!!
It was so very upsetting.
But an excellent perspective.
I was blaming T, but now I have more disdain for the republicans as a whole.
