Probably the last official business by the late Queen Elizabeth - meeting the new Prime Minister

Only two days ago

In 2013 there was a play called "The Audience" with Helen Mirren showing how the Queen met so many prime ministers.

It started in London and came to New York. One London production was aired live on local theaters here.

Because to me Queen Elizabeth looks great in that picture. I know her hands are a little bad. But from that picture to death in 48 hours is very shocking. I’m grateful that the new prime minister was able to meet her.

Nobody would have guessed that two days after this photo was taken, she'd be gone.

What a dear lady. Never did anything but make her country proud. A whole life lived in service, with class, generosity, honor, dignity, and love.

she served in the war, she served after the war, and served up to the very end.

You have to admire that.

She knew that tradition requires change of monarchs upon death.

I think I'm glad it wasn't him who got to do the statement as PM. Not that I'm a fan of Truss, but she isn't a habitual liar like Johnson, who was defined by it.

She was not an extrovert, at least in her 20's, and that doesn't usually change.

She just kept doing her duty, fulfilling others ' expectations. I know she had a sense of humor. She had her corgis, and her husband who almost seemed like an alter ego in the documentaries I watched, but also a problem for her.

I wonder if she had a good life. Sounds silly, but... being queen could be so lonely and such a prison. So much was asked of her, and she was always a rock. I hope she felt fulfilled.
