2. She was part of an advanced, liberalism-based government

that has provided the necessary structure for people to live their lives in, plus be controlled by the will of the people necessary to secure their freedom. A difficult and sometimes delicate balance.

This in a time when many other nations fell to authoritian and extremist governments, both left-wing authoritarian and right-wing authoritarian, that ultimately killed hundreds of millions of their own people — and others.

UK came through all these perils a free, safe, and prosperous nation for its free people. Queen Elizabeth didn’t control, but she was part of it, she supported the whole, and she deserves whatever credit is hers.

I find myself wishing that she had lived long enough for her nation to find its way to more stable footing in these new perilous times simply because she was there with her people before when they achieved the better times they need to once again believe in.
