Trump left the photo in his news feed on his social media account at Truth Social, a platform he launched after getting banned from Twitter that attracts his fans. But he removed it as the banner of his account sometime before 4 p.m., hours after PennLive posted a story about the controversy, and replaced it with a generic crowd photo from the rally in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania last week where the troopers were helping to provide security.
Trumps former deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino Jr. had published the photo last week, hours after the campaign rally ended, but also removed the photo Thursday afternoon of Trump standing amid rows of troopers from his newsfeed on Truth Social. The photo was still visible on his Twitter account shortly before 5 p.m.
A police spokesman said troopers working security at the campaign rally in Wilkes-Barre agreed to a private photo op with the former president thinking they would get memorabilia, not plastered on social media.

Here's what a police officer beaten and tased on Jan. 6 thinks about it:
"Those two or three dozen Pennsylvania state troopers, from the bottom of my heart, can go fuck all the way off."
In addition to Trump having incited the attack on the Capitol that resulted in 140 officers injured, one dead, four officer suicides, there is the fact that he's under at least three active criminal investigations.
Are PA troopers in the habit of taking photos with suspects?

Michael Fanone, a former Washington police officer who suffered a heart attack and traumatic brain injury after being beaten and electroshocked on Jan. 6, had a more blunt assessment of the photo.
Professionally? Its unprofessional. Its improper, he said. Personally? Those two or three dozen Pennsylvania state troopers, from the bottom of my heart, can go fuck all the way off.

(15,936 posts)I noticed some not smiling, some looking down, some not wanting to be there, some perhaps not. And one not in uniform.
Congratulations enforcers for being there, used up all the other props he uses!

(81,451 posts)A year ago, the New Jersey State Police Benevolent Association held a fundraiser at Trumps golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey, just two weeks after the New York Police Departments 17th Precinct, a few blocks from his Trump Tower high-rise, welcomed him for a Sept. 11 photo opportunity.

(3,232 posts)photograph of themselves with a traitor who has stolen top secret intelligence and most likely has sold it to adversaries, causing incalculable damage to this country and other nations around the globe? I wonder what percentage of the police across this country still support this traitor. Notice they didnt want this photo to get out to the rest of us. Their fascism is showing ..well, its kinda always showing isnt it?

(8,716 posts)If we can not execute him for treason, can we at least cut off those fucking thumbs. The Middle Eastern laws allows for cutting off hands and heads for crimes. Removing his damn thumbs for his multiple crimes would be a good start. Where he can not have pictures of himself celebrating crimes with those tiny thumbs. Harder to count scammed Money without thumbs.
And texting.

(82,849 posts)He can just turn himself in for espionage, treason, theft of classified documents, and fraud. I'm sure lots of cops would love to be in the photo of the phalanx escorting him to his cell.
