Unless you count all the celebrities and pro athletes, who get tons of flowers placed on their various monuments and buildings/stadiums, or at their homes when they die.

This was the Staples Center in L.A. after one of its employees died in a helicopter crash:

But there should also be sensible gun laws.

That photo is beautiful but they never show those on TV- just the mass shooting flowers.

We saw versions of that photo here on TV 24/7 in the days after Bryant died. It was almost as bad as what we're seeing with the Queen. Granted, when other celebrities die, they do show the various flower memorials, just not constantly, for the most part. It's just not true that they only show them for shooting victims.

Both are manifestations of sick societies.
Still it is there for all to see.
An outpouring of grief for entitled assholes who call you commoners and mourning for innocent people killed because of crazy ass gun laws.

We have issues with mass shootings in America is directly attributable to the very monarchy you addressed. You get that right? Without shitty British colonialism and their fucked up monarchs the 2nd wouldn’t exist.

for something like 200 years - (while engaging in both efforts of self defense - and in turn, absolutely indefensible acts of imperialism, aggression and occasional rank genocide). All this time, perhaps not without attendant problem or issue, but with nothing approaching the levels of self inflicted carnage we see today. Something (or some things)changed along the way - but it happened on this side of the Atlantic - and, this late in the day, it's rather absurd to claim it is all down to (or really has anything to do) with the British monarchy. We turned ourselves into this - not the poor Brits.

Only the king can hunt. Only the royals can possess weapons. The Brits, their shitty Church, and fucked up politics had/have a huge influence on the USA. Even today the Tory bullshit haunts us. Remember when Romney alluded to his “Saxon heritage”. Fuck the monarchy and fuck the Tories

American politics - had a 100 times more impact on British politics, than any Tory BS ever had over here. I'm sorry but that's just basic facts.

Respectfully. You've really got the cart pulling the horse here.

manifestations play in British colonialism of all stripes.

I have been more than bit dismayed to see some of the whitewashing, rationalising, diminution of ultimate systemic responsibility, and yes, even some conditional defences of monarchist structures that have been occuring in some quarters.

I almost never use the term, but I have triggered, and not at all loathe to admit that have cried more than once.

I have lost a lot of faith in this virtual ecosphere, I feel like it has been exposed (for me, I cannot speak for anyone else) as a lot less safe than I presumed it to be.

The US also had some 24,000 gun suicides--not sure about the UK on this.
The US has roughly 120 guns per 100 people. I still refuse to own one, even living so close to the
"bad hombres" as tfg calls Mexicans. Many of my co-workers in the masonry trade were Mexican.

There seems to be some sick part of the human psyche that demands "royalty" of some sort.

I'm not sure our system is any better than your hereditary one.

Seems to me that people are brainwashed into believing these royals are important
They're just self appointed authoritarians, with absolutely no voting system.

I know America sucks but I'd rather have the right to vote than just be told who the next king will be FOR GENERATIONS 🤷🏾?♀️
