(17,474 posts)ripping them off for years and considered them all to be idiot bumpkins, his cult would swear that he had been drugged or tortured into the admission of guilt. At this point they have far too much emotional energy invested in their demigod to ever turn back and lose face.
I think that his hard core is irredeemable and will take Trump worship to his and their graves.

There's a thread here in GD about a magat who desperately needed an abortion. According to her she "fled" from Texas to New Mexico for her life saving abortion. Now she's turning her back on her beliefs.
I think scenarios that involve deep personal loss bring about a change of heart more than reasonable conversation.
