I'm really surprised at the public reaction to Harry and William. The shock and surprise that they can be together in public during the transition that is so important to their father, and to his mother. Good god, they are mature adults. I would expect them to do such things.
I've got a sister that can't stand the site of me. But we show up to family functions and behave like adults. We say hello to each other. Offer to help if needed. No, there aren't long walks on the beach, but we can coexist. She came to my wedding. She's family. We've had numerous funerals and weddings. We had to bury a brother. All with no fireworks. It's called being an adult. I presume the two brothers and their spouses can do it as well. I'd be shocked if they couldn't.

(67,757 posts)Harry and William left the gates next to each other. Very quickly he maneuvered things such that Meghan wound up between he and William. After that there was almost no eye contact, although it appeared Kate was talking to both Harry and Meghan.
My overall impression from watching that video clip was four people doing their job performing for the masses. Missing almost entirely was warmth.

(6,790 posts)But, fear not, I'm sure the inquiring minds of our own reliable US yellow journalists will create scandal aplenty if their British counterparts can't fill the voids on those precious printed pages. It is common knowledge that the economies of the western world cannot survive any extended dearth of royal impropriety, real or manufactured.
