Will you watch the TV coverage of the burial, etc of Trump. The QEII coverage

brought this to mind. I love all the pomp and circumstance.

There will be lots of coverage of Trump because he is a former president. I can't make up my mind if I'd watch or not - definitely not all the blather before hand.

And when the time comes, I'll definitely watch some of the TV coverage.

You know that old joke about attending the funeral of someone you hate just to make sure the SOB is really dead? I'll be watching rather than attending, but the principle is the same.

and "honorable" figure from whole cloth, just because he was President. If there are crowds holding signs, for instance protesting what he WAS and what he DID in life and the media does not show that or ignores it then I will, of course, turn away.

Our media largely built up Trump. Some have begun to atone for the gift of mass coverage during the 2016 election-- despite the lies and exaggerations-- that ultimately put him within striking distance of the WH. Whether or not that would direct the kind of honest coverage that should occur with his death is a big question as we are already seeing more and more backsliding and false equivalency being promoted in the "name of fair journalism"...One need only look as far as a couple of recent posts defending CNN's sharp rightward move to realize that.

12. That is the BIG question I have. We know Fox will slobber about his greatness.

But what about the other MSM - will they just try to remain as quite as possible. It is hard to "speak ill of the dead" but on the other hand silence is golden.

It's hard to watch TV and dance at the same time but I'll figure it out.
