(80,693 posts)He's got credibility, which CNN is going to be losing - if they swing to the right. For Pete's Sake, we've ALREADY GOT more than enough rightward-leaning networks and other media. TOO many for my tastes. ENOUGH, already!
Besides, I'm not that interested in what the right wing thinks about anything. Any more than they're interested in serving a viewer or listener like me, it would seem.

most political discussions exclude the talk radio factor and it's like studying fish without water and a big part of why were in this messs.
for example the giuliani/powel press conference was timed to start with the limbaugh show and he broadcast it live so it could reach many millions more of a receptive audience how can the rachel meadow research dept let her claim it was a major part in pushing the jan 6 insurrection while missing that?
because they don't know it exists, probably all live in cities, and didn't/don't search limbaugh transcripts. but with AI that can all be easily cheaply digitized, searched and analyzed - but it's not happening because dem and progressive leadership continues to ignore rw radio, the biggest political mistake in history

(35,423 posts)in real estate business contracts, if the income is replaced by another tenant, then you can't collect for not fulfilling the lease.
Not saying this is a real estate contract--just that there may be a clause that says that if he replaces the income they don't have to pay as much.
In any event, Stelter is way over the heads of the CNN people. This is a more appropriate place from which to display his knowledge of the political scene.

(1,654 posts)Also, if it's near the end of his contract he may already have gotten the payout for it. It may have a noncompete clause against a major network, but not a semi-academic post such as this. His agent and/or attorney probably had that set up already knowing how fickle media networks can be to the demands of corporate overlords.

Hopefully SOMEBODY'S gonna figure out that the interests of the left still deserves to be served. Hope I don't have to wait too long - AND I hope MSNBC gains viewers. It's just about the only game in town for liberal viewers now.

(17,972 posts)To see Brian land another cable show. His program was so full of facts, not the latest gossip.
I have turned off the Sunday shows. Jake Tapper is boring,Todd a disaster.
Chris Wallace has a show on September 25th that sounds like 60 Minutes. Will wait and see.
They are working Ali to death on MSNBC. So far replacements are week. Shep Smith has a great show on CNBC! Again, full of facts. 2 hours of Scarborough are too much, 4 ugh!
