We now know what happened in the Cohen case, what happened to Individual 1. Bill Barr was one of the most corrupt AG's in our history.
Maybe this is why Barr has been making the rounds telling everyone what a great patriot he is. What an asshole. Hopefully he will be investigated and indicted.

(4,913 posts)Trump and Barr found prosecutors who falsely charged people like Obama's White House counsel.

(86,072 posts)She covered it extensively, there was an announcement that an investigation was being initiated based on the claims in the book! How's that for timing?
Has the book been released yet? If not, it's this week, I would put money on it.
In fact, I'm going to buy a copy from an independent bookseller.

I got sick watching the Maddow-Berman interview, those Magats are so very evil. Berman explained why he couldn't publicly talk about what was going after he was fired. He couldn't talk about it because they were ongoing investigations. He was instructed he wasn't even allowed to talk about his conversations with Barr's cronies.
Berman stood up to Trump Big Time. He made sure he wasn't replaced by one of trump's cronies.
Bye the by, there was nothing stopping Merrick Garland from indicting "individual one."

I forget this persons name but he was in the story TRMS told last night, I'm sick that there weren't more DOJ professionals screaming to high heaven

Unwittingly obvious, Barr's attempt to rehabilitate or reinvent his image is laughable, infuriating and pathetic.

The DOJ needs house cleaning big time.
There should be *NO* overt political prosecutions of individuals without professionals in the DOJ screaming to high heaven

(17,506 posts)He was forbidden by law from doing so. He got clearance from the DOJ for every chapter in this book. Otherwise as an employee and a former employee he wouldve been breaking the law. He called bar out at the time that bar tried to push him out at SDNY and he forced Barr to fire him publicly rather than resign as he was in old to do. That prevented bar from taking over the FDNY with cronies and killing currently active cases at the time. At that time he has seen Barr take over the DC court and replace them with cronies, removing Stone and Bannons woes in that court. Instead a very ethical and accomplished leader took over when he was forced publicly to quit, and his view because the nationwide outing of the situation for too much heat for Barr to do it again.
Its worth listening to Rachels interview.

(4,527 posts)For me that he meddled in the Jeffrey Epstein case. I remember he went to the prison where Epstein was housed. And then he is found suicided.
Im not saying he did it, just that his grubby fingerprints were all over the case.

(3,341 posts)The fact that neither Barr or trump put the sheet around Epstein's neck, but instead planed it and ordered it, makes them guilty by the same rule Bugliosi used to get Charles Manson behind bars for murder.
Bugliosi's book "The Prosecution of G. W. Bush for Murder" lays out the a blueprint using the same code he used against Manson, I have to assume it would be applicable in the Epstein case as well in the January 6 insurrection where seven people died, trump would be guilty for the deaths of the seven Capitol Police who died that day, as well as the woman who was shot for planning the coup.

The massive publicity from his book might, just might, reach a few Republican voters and help rip off the loyal blinders they have when it comes to their beloved cult leader and his henchmen.
