New Pa. poll points to trouble for Republicans on abortion Mark O'Keefe

No Paywall This is a really good article on how the F&M polls are done. Worth the read.

'In the poll conducted by Franklin & Marshall College’s Center for Opinion Research, John Fetterman, the state’s lieutenant governor, leads GOP candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz 43 percent to 30 percent in the Senate race with 20 percent undecided, while Josh Shapiro leads GOP state Sen. Doug Mastriano 44 percent to 33 percent in the race for governor with 19 percent undecided.

Nothing was surprising in those numbers. Both Fetterman and Shapiro jumped out to early leads and have continued to enjoy comfortable leads in both races.

The big difference between the F&M poll and other polls is that it breaks down the results from different areas of the state. And that’s where the numbers vary widely from other numbers in previous elections.'

If Mastriano and Oz aren't doing well there, it's time for them to hang it up. Both of those jerks deserve to lose!

polls are just polls, the only one that we should look at is results on November 8th.

So I worry about the 20% that are sitting on the fence- there is no guarantee they will divide evenly. In fact, I would say Republicans have done better with the fence-sitters in recent elections.

Vance is at 26% favorability for example and he is pretty much absent these days.(Got to get into Tim Ryan somehow) I think it makes a difference. Both Fetterman and Shapiro are way more likable than either Oz or Mastriano. Time will tell.

But the Republicans are very good at manufacturing some sort of controversy to sway those voters in the last days of an election.

But the Democratic candidates in PA are in pretty good situation at this point to weather any shit storm the Republicans and the MSM throw at us.

It's in closer elections like in WI where I have seen those undecideds bite us.
