We don't know what Trump believed. We know what he did.

Analysis by Phillip Bump...

New York Times reporter Margaret Haberman's new book "Confidence Man" suggests that former president Donald Trump knew he'd lost the 2020 election but that something in his thinking later shifted.

This is what trump has done his whole life.
It has allowed him to get away with much.

If he admitted he lost and conceded to Biden then he couldn't have kept his base fired up and his whole money train would have ended.

He was smart enough to know that only by maintaining the big lie could he keep on scamming his supporters with false hope that their donations would help him overturn the election results.

Haberman had plenty of information that she sat on for her fucking book.

She should have turned it over to the DOJ. After all, the only reason she is able to practice her profession is due to the First Amendment. With those rights comes great responsibilities. Haberman failed in protecting our nation and her business.
