In Russian-occupied Kherson, local police officers appointed by Russian invasion forces are massively filing resignation papers.
Thats according to an informed source in law enforcement, who spoke with Ukrinform.
The agencys interlocutor says, against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armys recent battlefield successes in the region, the number of police officers, who are ready to quit service after flipping to the Russian side just months ago, has increased significantly.

(12,645 posts)Even if they were ethnic Russians who took on local jobs with the invaders because 'safety' or some misguided attempt to be more relevant in the new Russo-Ukraine state that they thought they would be part of when the invasion began.
There's going to have to be some sort of truth and reconciliation program to re-incorporate the leftovers from the Soviet era, Russian speaking Ukraninians who are afraid of 'The West' but still want to live peacefully in the villages their parents or grandparents were sent to in one of those old Soviet peasant/worker relocation plans.

(12,226 posts)Ukraine will have regain their Kherson and majority of what Russia tried to take. Hopefully Ukraine can negotiate with Russia to get their people back from Russia.
