There is a debate that we must have.

We cannot ignore Justice. We cannot re-define it. We cannot make it disappear. We must confront it.

There are those who will argue that it would be too divisive for our country if some people were held accountable for their crimes. They argue that it would tear the country apart. There would be riots in the street.

The nation needs this debate. We cannot permit politics to determine the course of justice. We cannot permit one side to argue that crimes can be overlooked because their side cannot be held accountable. We cannot permit threats of violence to prevent justice from taking its course. We must stand as all courageous Americans must stand.

We cannot permit mob violence, from any quarter, for any reason. We have a jury system that permits any citizen the right to a fair trial by his peers. That is the best solution we have discovered up to this time.

But, one thing is for certain.

We cannot ignore Justice.

Election denial is a tactic, not a genuine belief.
Ultimately no one can verify what someone truly "believes".
Carl Sagan said this about belief in God - he regarded it as just something people say to be admitted to a club.
I say, bring on the "civil war"! Watch how fast the Proud Boys cosplayers scatter and hide in their mom's basement when the National Guard whips out the mortars.
This whole thing is so ridiculous.

8. Many people were arrested and imprisoned for the riots in Portland and other cities.

You and I know that people who did actual rioting and/or destruction in those cities were arrested, tried, and sent to prison. Again and again, people on the other side act as though they were allowed to get away with it. They were not.
Of course, we also know that many of those who did the actual destruction turned out to be right-wing extremists. Maybe we need to document and publicize these facts.

offenses thst would result in riiters being jailed. So the police would make arrests during the rioting and the same people would ve back on the street the next night to do it all over again. This went on for 140 nights.

trash and burn aytime the wind blows.
What was it 140 nights of rioting I think.. They show at just about every left leaning protest and usurp it or sometimes all on their own. They even trashed and burned when Biden won the election. There was/is too much acceptance of it out here and not stopping made it an issue particularly when it made the national news night after night. The city is still unique and has a lot to offer but it has a level of lawless and an apocalyptic atmosphere to it with homeless camps on a growing numbers of streets bring thrown out then having to find another neighborhood. Even along the hihighway as you near the city there are tents and trash strewn near off ramps or under brodges
. There are street races (drifting) that occur some night where intersection are hijacked with cars racing each other in circles w/no police intervention. A young women was recently killed while waiting for a bus when one if the racers lost control and careened into the bench she was sitting on. The police and the city government are not on the same page and I think the vast majority of the public are tired of it.
