Is anyone getting "403 Forbidden" errors when editing posts? I've occasionally seen them...

...when navigating the site, but I recently got a persistent 403 when trying to edit a post. It persisted even after logging out and logging in again. I should probably post this in the Administrators forum as well, but I thought members might have a few ideas.

I'm using Firefox with some security add-ons (uBlock, NoScript, etc.). The browser and add-ons have never caused problems so far, so I have doubts that they are now.

and will block a legitimate connection to the site, which causes the 403 error. If you’re using additional security add-ons — particularly if you’re using a VPN — it’s possible that those might trip the firewall. Unfortunately the issue is rather random, but when it does happen, it typically clears itself up after a while and allows the connection.

I'm sure it's what you described; it's never happened before. Thanks for your help!

A VPN is often the culprit, but even without one the issue can still crop up from time to time. It may or may not be related to your security add-ons -- the problem often strikes randomly.

Unfortunately we're a bit limited in what we can do to fix it because we don't want to reduce the overall level of protection that the firewall gives us. So for the time being, it's one of those odd-and-sometimes-annoying DU quirks. Apologies again for the inconvenience. Hopefully it will clear up for you shortly.

But, then it stops doing for protracted periods of time.
One time, I got the alert 5 or 6 times in one day. Then, one the next day. It had to be 6 months before it happened again.
Like EarlG said, it seems a bit random & will probably stop on its own.

I'd edited. Finally just clicked to update the post instead of previewing, and that worked. I don't recall having had the problem before, and haven't had it since.
