I know misogyny is a result of (built into?) the patriarchy, but our country seems to have it so much worse than most other western countries. What's different? Why are the right-wingers so much more toxic in our country? The Republican Party is so vile that I'm having a serious problem with the few friends & family I know who still associate with the party. I'm having a hard time reconciling "decent people" with people who vote for republicans. That's probably the only positive thing of this pandemic—a lot of social events were cancelled or didn't happen.
