Watching Deadline Whitehouse and discussion about the MaLago documents-- Question:

A guest just said the POTUS can see any documents, including classified, that he wants. Ignoring for the moment that it would appear political, why couldn't Biden ask to see the documents that are involved in the DOJ's court case? If I were president, I'd sure be looking at them even if nobody but Garland knew I was checking them out.
