Democrats Launch Massive Negative Ad Campaign Against GOP On Abortion

Democrats Launch Massive Negative Ad Campaign Against GOP On Abortion
Democrats are hammering Republicans in dozens of ads across the country on their opposition to abortion access.

Democrats have zeroed in on the top issue to pummel Republicans with in their quest to win the 2022 midterm elections: the end of Roe v. Wade.

In dozens of ads backed by tens of millions of dollars, Democratic candidates, party committees and affiliated groups are attacking Republicans on the issue of abortion in key battleground races that will determine control of Congress, governorships and state legislatures.

The ever-increasing ad avalanche on abortion signals that the conservative-majority Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization to overturn the nearly 50-year-old right to an abortion has flipped the issue on its head, forcing Republicans to answer for their unpopular anti-abortion positions as they are now actually becoming law.

“The threat to abortion rights used to be theoretical, but people now understand and believe the real impact — that candidates want to ban abortion and can ban abortion — and they are scared and they believe them,” said Jenny Lawson, president of Planned Parenthood Votes, the campaign arm of the pro-abortion rights group that has promised to spend $50 million on the midterm elections.

A Real-World Test Case

The decision to make the end of Roe the central negative attack line of the midterms follows from public and private polling showing that the Republican position on the issue is broadly and increasingly unpopular.

The repubs have been totally bashing us on immigration hate and fear mongering around releasing prisoners and new state crime policies.

It’s really ugly 😡

They are trying to convince voters all over the state that Gov. Pritzker wants to let ALL the offenders out of jail, and those offenders are going to bring "Chicago violence" to "your town"! It's idiotic, but it'll probably work on some people.

I think Repukes in this state are running scared. Their Trump-endorsed, RWNJ candidate for governor is massively unappealing to non-MAGA voters, and they know it. This current batch pf fear-mongering ads stinks of desperation, and it's likely to get worse by November.

That should be the template for our ads.

The Republicans raised Cain about "Death Panels". It turns out they just wanted to be the ones to sit on those Death Panels.

With the same intensity adds stating, Scott, Graham, Rubio and Johnson intend to end Social Security and Medicare. That messaging alone can devastate GQP. And do not depend on Sinclair owed local media to assist. Get the message out. On every damn media site out there. And pound it over and over and over. Women and seniors vote and vote and vote. And white supremacy, national religion will NOT be a message that will win either. If our FUCKING VOTES are even tallied.
Bury the GQP on trump properties. And allow visitors to piss on em all.
