Dear Corporate Class, stop undermining Joe Biden's presidency. He's the best thing going.
I know. I know. You're mad at the WFH, Quiet Quitting, unionizations at Amazon and Starbucks. I get all of that, but inflating prices and pushing the Fed to take us into a deep recession will push this nation into political chaos. You may think that chaos will be good because you can control the outcome. You will ultimately get policies that will be beneficial to you similar to when Volker push the nation into a deep recession by raising interest rates in the 80s. Reagan used that recession to enact his tax cuts. Entire generations of Americans believed that tax cuts, not the subsequent lower of interest rates, were the reason for the economic turnaround.
Well, this aint the 80s. If we go into another deep economic downturn, you may not get the favorable outcome that you're hoping for. God knows what political leader(s) will emerge. Biden is your best chance to keep some sort of normalcy. It's not hyperbolic to say that this country could descend into an actual civil war of some sort.
So, ease off pushing the Fed. Stop inflating your prices. Deal with WFH and Quiet Quitting. Just calm down and carry on.
