He used to go around the country filling stadiums to "preach", trump is doing the same exact thing.
The one from last night sounded from what I listened to of it like one of the crusades, has he been taking lessons from the evangelical con men on how to brainwash ?

(16,370 posts)to make that tight shot look good? I've always assumed that must be the case. Left to their own devices, people will spread out all over the place, making the empty spaces much more obvis.

(3,542 posts)My grandmother took me to all his crusades in Pennsylvania. To a 8 yr. Old they were scary. They would show a film and at the end it showed that if you weren't saved you would burn in hell. To an 8 year old that's what was terrifying. The world was coming to an end and I was going to die.
That is one of the reasons why I do not believe in any organized religion. To me they are all fairy tales.
No I am not an atheist, I just don't believe in myths.

(36,416 posts)Billy Graham encouraged attendees to seek out local churches and get involved. I can't address Billy's asshole son, Franklin, but I can say with authority, Billy Graham wasn't a "Me, Me, Me" asshole.

(16,370 posts)I went to one of his events at Shea Stadium in 1970. He was the real deal. Whatever you think about what he was preaching, I don't think there's any question that he believed in it himself.
