The newzealand media has just had breaking news. Putin has declared a full on invasion and they expect him to announce conscription.

Not sure how that would relate to a Putin announcement of full-on war.

8. More conscripted bodes won't give him more weapons, better generals, more trained officers,

more experienced non coms, or improve the morale of the cannon fodder. The only thing that conscription will provide is more dead soldiers and more angry families.

It takes time, and a whole lot of money, to build a professional army from conscripts. I am not sure Putin has that much time.

We watched Hitler until it was almost too late. Unbelievable that Russia was our ally then. War makes strange bedfellows.
