Statistics show more people are now cremated as opposed to full body burial in the US.. If the full 48% or more of us actually donated our organs it would be such a gift to those who could use them to extend their lives.. We are making ashes of the rest of our bodies.. just something to think about.

(22,875 posts)and that is in my medical record..and there is a point of aging out for things like bone marrow.. but if they can use any of my organs for research, or replacement .. they are there for the taking.. because I have already made my arrangements to be cremated.. so the researchers and physicians at the time of my death can make that decision..

My license has the organ donation symbol on it anyway.
