Ran across a remarkable and long twitter thread where one person started by talking about how Trump stiffed so many small businesses that worked for him. Others join in. And another and another, one right after another.
It is no surprise that he did this, but to see the number of people sharing their own personal experiences with it is staggering. It shows a long pattern of mob behavior-- threats and use of punitive legal action that would bankrupt the small businesses if they pursued their claims against him.
One of the tweets says that he has been sued over 3500 times for stiffing people. Don't know where that comes from, but judging by the number of people sharing their experiences, it may be an understatement.
We need new laws about running for president that will screen out such thoroughly corrupt and dangerous people from ever holding public office.

(36,749 posts)Some jobs are amenable to installing a trap door/time bomb in them.
Such as computer programs with a future change or kill switch that takes effect if you do not disable them from outside.
Most jobs cannot accommodate such preventive measures but it's a consideration.
