It should not surprise anyone that the GOP pre-election "proposals" consist entirely of

a single page of goals without any bothersome "how to get there" details.

This is simply another instance of using the "Trump method" of problem solving: you don't have to actually DO anything---just SAY that you want to happen and---"POOF!"--- problem solved; goal reached!

Actually, a recent refinement of the "Trump method" makes it unnecessary to even SAY what you want to happen in order to make it happen.

Now, you can just THINK it and it happens!

Gee whiz golly! This Trump guy is really sumthin', ain't he?

"We are going to make the economy better for the top 1 percent"

Oh it doesn't say it that way? Well that's what they mean.

Since what they plan, won't work.

Make the economy strong by killing Social Security and forcing Grandma to work, if she doesn't get killed by the protections they remove like pure food, safe drugs, pure water, ...

Only get rid of it for the other people, the ones that don't deserve it. The ones that don't work hard. The ones that don't pay lots of taxes.

You know, the non-whites.

(Yes, I've had this conversation with Republicans at a gun site.
"I've blown my back out, and can't work anymore. I have to get SSDI" -- R1
"That's OK, that's what it's for! It's for people like us that work hard. We deserve it." -- R2
"Well, who doesn't deserve it?" -- me
"You know, people like the welfare queens that never work" -- R2
)

This reads exactly like an executive plan. It makes perfectly good sense, your workers do the actual stuff. It does help me understand 2 things though; their base, and executives. Their base because this is the kind of thing they aspire to, grand ideas without actual plans and no real means to achieve them except threats. Executives because see previous.

Simply saying the Biden economy sucks, or Hunter Biden's laptop, or her emails, is enough for the gang to nod their heads in unison, without a scintilla of proof to support the statement.

confused about whether women even exist. In a fund-raising email this week, Senator Josh Hawley (he who pushes toxic masculinity) said that teaching children about more than one gender was “transgender propaganda.” Any more than that goes “against nature, science and common sense.”

Evidently, Hawley considers women to be so far beneath his notice that they do not even exist as a gender. Says a lot about Republicans’ lack of any respect for women.

..except the 'border crisis' and inflation. Secondary topics are crime, electric cars, Biden's mental faculties, weaponization of the DOJ but they're betting on inflation and the border...

There's always been a border crisis and they have been the majority about half the time during the past 100 years and didn't solve it when they had the chance. Inflation is global, due mostly to demand exceeding supply which they don't admit and can't fix.

Republicans never see beyond the next election. They have no interest in fixing current or future, national or global problems; they simply want to be in control, which has been their agenda for decades, long before Trump entered the political arena. He just made it easier for them to move farther right while simultaneously making it look acceptable.
