The next election will tell us a lot about what voters think of America.

Also, it will probably tell us a lot about political Parties from the perspective of George Washington. He would probably say, "I told you so".

And it will probably tell us how important your vote is, if you wish to live in freedom, or if you wish to live under the yoke of the state? It is an important decision for us all. It is about freedom. It is not about abortion.

The next election is, in my opinion, the most important election in my lifetime. But they say that about every election. I believe it is true this time.

If it is a close election, but the (d)emocrats win, it will show that the people are still in control of their lives and their country.

If the "fascists" win, it will show that people are no longer in control of their lives and someone else is pulling the strings. Power in the hands of fascists does not end well.

but i am highly pessimistic about the voters, the gerrymandered districts, and the new powers granted to the state legislatures.

can we overcome all of that? it will take an incredible voter turnout. .

We should not be surprised if so many of our fellow citizens fall for it. It is all based on a "Big Lie". That is how we know they are not legitimate.

the propaganda is so far over the top (q anon is a psyop the nazis could have only imagined!).

but why do i seem to be immune? my neighbors have been convinced that democratas are "cpming to take their guns" since before i came here in 1980. they still have their guns.

skepticism towards marketing (and what is propaganda except marketing?) was once an american virtue? do drugs play any part (it is no coincidence that red states are home to the opioid addiction)?

oh, well. daylight out. i have work to do.

I will NEVER get why so many otherwise seemingly decent people fall completely in love w the right wing bullshit. Been thinking and saying that my entire adult life, well over a quarter century.

cosmocat, and longer still. to me it is a class war, but how have they enlisted so many of my own class to fight against ourselves? do these people, my fellow rednecks, really think they'll be invited to mar a lago?

FWIW - very few voters will make their choice on democracy and voting rights.
