A San Francisco Fire Department firefighter is facing disciplinary action after a tweet on Saturday showed him wearing a "Let's Go Brandon" T-shirt on official department business, according to KPIX-5.

Mandelman and the SFFD public information officer, had photos of the firefighter, along with two others, at Noe and 18th streets, asking: "s this the new official uniform of the SFFD?"

Less than an hour later, the SFFD PIO responded on Twitter, "This is not the official uniform of the SFFD. This will be handled immediately. Thank you for bringing it to our attention."

Did he think no one would do anything? Perhaps whatever FDs he's known before would have ignored this, but not San Francisco.

Firefighter jobs are highly coveted in California, with great pay, generous overtime, benefits and they get excellent pensions they can start collecting when they are only 50 years old. There's plenty of men and women who would love to have that idiot's job and would not insult the community they're serving.

All this jackhole had to do was wear the damn clothes the SF Fire Department gave him to wear (and required him to wear). But no, his SFFD t-shirt was not good enough for him. Well, then he should quit his job and work at a place where he likes the t-shirts.

Having said that, I also wonder who he thinks is going to read his message. It seems likely he is communicating with at least some number of his fellow "public servants." "Hey guys, looka me!"....wink, wink
