General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsCNN's latest turnaround is proof positive that it is not liberal reporters that report the news...
...it is the owners of the network.
We have known that for many years with FOX News.
In fact, it has been that way forever.
Reporters that mistakingly thought they could report the facts from a liberal perspective have just had their chain jerked.
They have been ordered to report what we tell you to report and be careful not to get out of your lane.
Or you may not have a job.

(21,303 posts)fire Keith Olbermann and Dylan Ratigan?
The 2 major shareholders of MSNBC are BlackRock and Vanguard.

(35,325 posts)Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC. That is why CNN is trying to move a little right. If they can get people from
both sides they will get better ratings. I am not talking about Q Anon nuts, what were the mainstream
Republicans and independents. I want to hear opinions from both sides not just the left. I think some of our side
goes way too far left for me. Example de-fund the police.
gab13by13
(21,303 posts)Example; Joe Lieberman, Kristen Sinema, Joe Manchin.
Defund the police wasn't a far left idea, it was a reasonable proposal that was politicized by the right, just like they do with "Black Lives Matter."

(35,325 posts)so sure Manchin was that far off base opposing much of it

(21,303 posts)Olbermann made MSNBC the most money of any anchor so there goes the theory that it's just about money.
I never missed Dylan Ratigan, his last shows were going around the country exposing crony capitalism. He was one passionate news anchor.
People were fired on MSNBC; Olbermann, Ratigan, Schultz, Brashear, Perry, because they strayed from the corporate teleprompter.
FoxNewsSucks
(10,429 posts)I'd say they were fired mainly for not following the pro-corporate messaging.
Also for being too critical of republicans.

(21,303 posts)Allow me to post this for the 17th time;
Fox News says that Obama beats his wife.
CNN says it needs more information.
MSNBC says no he doesn't.
All of those 3 networks are doing the exact same thing; keeping the narrative of Obama beating his wife on the front page.

(111,078 posts)Stop talking about Trump so much. Do not have "Breaking News" at the top of every hour. (If there is a breaking story that is new "news", then you may report that) Otherwise, incorporate more news stories into your reporting. Five minutes of "Trump stories" per hour is enough.
If you have a problem with this new system, then you may want to look elsewhere for employment?
