basically, the State is defending itself from the various cases brought against it by faculty across the state by saying that if you work for the State, you have no First Amendment rights because you are actually just a mouthpiece for the government 😵?💫

Texas probably won't be far behind. Academic freedom is the cornerstone of modern universities. Freedom loving people do not work so hard to destroy it. Fascists, on the other hand, loath academic freedom, and academic free speech is usually among the first victims of fascist regimes.

The Republican party has long accused public schools of indoctrinating children against conservatism. Now they reveal that they believe government under their control should use educational systems to indoctrinate. Fascism at work.
