I’m in the county just south of Charlotte n my phone just put out an emergency alert for storm surge warnings and a flood watch n it isn’t even here yet. Turn on the weather channel..

Veering more east - usually they start out looking like they're coming up the coast and veer west into the Gulf.

The year we had, what, 5 storms almost back to back? That was the same trajectory, I think. We had neighbors who bugged out and went to Orlando - and then it was forecast to go right through Orlando.

Our Local weatherman Jim Reif was the first to call it. Charley was supposed to hit Tampa, it got to Sanibel Island & turned left through Cape Coral & North Fort Myers & went straight into Calusa harbor.
