These people who make up a large portion of the most hateful have not had a voice until recently. Trump provided them with justification for their ignorance and prejudices. That is the most important factor in the recent problem facing the nation. They are no longer shunned into silence, but now have one of the most influential supports for their extremism even to the point of violence which Thump has not only condoned but encouraged. Another aspect is the false equivalence of the political factions by the media that carefully attempts not to alienate a substantial portion of their audience and advertisers that has the effect of mitigating the general condemnation of even the most outrageous claims by propogandists. This is driven by the Hate Radio and FOX that is dominated by extreme the right wing that has become increasingly more fascist. The threat is real, and we have been slow in our denunciation of concepts that will destroy our democratic Republic.

Assume a split of 40-40-20 (R-D-I).
61% of 40% is 24.4% of the DECLARED voters.

Reality is probably closer to a 30-30-40 split of the total eligible electorate (R-D-I)

In THAT case, the 61% is actually 18.3% of the total.
Less than 1 in 5.

I believe that number.

When their leaders lose elections and we are a more fully functioning democracy again, that 61% will diminish in numbers. Some will cling to the insane fascist dogma, but others will have an altered perspective when they are surrounded everywhere by a more normal social framework. There won't be a sudden "aha" moment for them, or a time when they see how depraved their current views are. They simply won't have crazy politicians continually feeding insanity to them any more.

Fox News, who go to their right-wing evangelical churches where the Sunday sermon preaches hate of non-white people and how liberals are ruining the country.

Just to contrast many of their churches with traditional Christian churches, ministers need have no training whatsoever. They just simply declare themselves preachers. Souther Baptists do have a seminary to train preachers, but attendance is not a requirement. In contrast, the Episcopalians require a person to be nominated as a candidate to become a priest and then attends seminary for three years, after which he or she is assigned a parish by their nominating bishop. The point is that people who want church leadership roles are screened not only for their knowledge but also for their suitability to lead worshipers.

In the evangelical world, anything goes and any crazy nut can be a minister.

Speaking as an obviously omnipotent Democrat, I wonder why we did not "steal" the down ballot races too?
I've never heard a trump maggot answer that question.

Of course, they think President Obama was president when the towers came down. This is the common belief shared among the morons.

Such stupid people.

83. Here in Texas, Democrats don't run in down ballot elections. And it's a big mistake ...

... down ballot is where the Louie Gohmerts get their start and training, where gerrymandering gets its start. We need to fight hard for more than the Presidency, we need to turn out every two years as well as Presidential elections.

We need to find someone to run for school boards, dog catcher, too. It is mind blowing how many elections here in Texas have Republicans running unopposed.

For most of the last 35 years the RW message has been broadcast across America as if it were the ONLY truth. First on talk radio, then on FOX news and its clones, along with more recent evolutions on social media. It has been pounded into the MSM as well if not edited in from corporate owners.

People believe what they hear repeated by sources they have come to trust. The well organized and scripted RW media onslaught has whispered and yelled at them the truth according to Rupert Murdoch, Jerry Falwell, Karl Rove and many, many others.

1% propaganda. They are greedy and will not go easily into the Night - they will drag the rest of us with them if they can - they are all Sociopaths.

Until we recognize that groups like TLP and Midas Touch are showing us the way to win EMOTIONS not just minds, we will continue to struggle with just appealing to peeps ' intellectual' side, as it seems most Democratic campaigns try to do...until the Rethugs scare the indies then the cycle of negative and ineffective response ads begin...

Study the past election cycles and you will SEE this.

We Dems have a really good chance here - TFG and the Hate Party appeal to all the really EVIL emotions, the crazy ones.

The old effectively cold calculating GOP ad strategists ARE NOW ON OUR SIDE.

We need to make use of their talents while we can.

EMOTIONS WIN ELECTIONS.

GOTV WINS ELECTIONS.

So when doing GOTV, go for their emotions, their hearts, not just their minds.

Roevember does this. 1/6 Hearings do this. Public distaste of TFG's maniacal misogynistic racist speeches play to this. MTG's and Boebert's moronic rants play to this. Disgust of QANON plays to this. Neo-Nazism plays to this. BLM plays to this - (yes, it really does help Democrats emotionally).

We Democrats know how to win. We have the issues on our side to win.

We just need to get out there and work hard to have the largest Midterm Cycle turnout EVAH and WE THE PEOPLE will save the Constitution.

Easy Peasy.
